The church in Białogon was created as a result of the efforts of the local community. In 1916 on the initiative of the owner of the Bialogon Metalworks, Ing. Leon Skibiński, a committee was established for the construction of the chapel in the center of the factory site. The area was after the Second World War merged with Kielce-city area. On April 17, 1918, the parish was founded by Bishop Augustyn Łosiński. The design, made by Mateusz Galas, referred to the Zakopane style, so dear to the architect himself, as he was originally from there. The plan shows clear traces of the functional layout of wooden chapels typical of Kielce area. The one-nave temple with a chapel and sacristy is covered with shingles. In the porch (vestibule) there is a plaque with a commemorative medal minted on the occasion of the launch of Aleksander Steelworks.
In 1960, on the initiative of priest Franciszek Sieradzki, a belfry was built, in which an old bell called “Alexander” was placed. In 1981, the church underwent a major renovation, eg. the wooden floor was replaced with a marble floor and the old pulpit was removed. In 1993, the church, together with a wooden belfry and a wooden fence with a gate, as a whole was added to the Polish Register of Immovable Monuments.
In 2005, the parish obtained a building permit for a new church. On August 6, 2005, Bishop Kazimierz Ryczan dedicated the square for the construction of the future temple at Kolonia Street. The new temple is a basilica-type building, with three naves and two high towers. The main theme of thirteen stained-glass windows are the Seven Holy Sacraments.
The rosette on the facade of the temple contains images of four evangelists. The stained glass’ founders were families from the parish. The two of them were funded though by priests as a votive of gratefulness for a gift of priesthood: by previous priest in Białogon Jan Pałys, and by priest Stanisław Kapica.
